π‘ Thought: A fulfilled life is focused on serving others.
The world seems to be forgetting the importance of serving others.
Our societies have become increasingly self-centered.
Social media today is an unending scroll of people displaying their lives, opinions, wealth, etc.
Content that focuses on helping others doesnβt do nearly as well as those that display a lavish lifestyle.
People are encouraged to focus on gaining material wealth and not on discovering "the many roads" to fulfillment.
And no, I'm not downplaying the importance of money. (Get your money!)
But I believe that money alone can't provide the fulfillment we crave.
If we want true fulfillment in life, we have to serve others.
I have never felt more excited, passionate, and fulfilled than when I work on things that impact the lives of others.
Think about that for a moment. You've probably experienced something similar at some point in your life.
We all have unique gifts, talents, ideas, perspectives, etc.
And the incredible reality is that you can't use them for yourself.
- Artists need others to enjoy their creations.
- Business owners need others to buy their products.
- Public speakers need others to listen to their speeches.
I can keep going, but you get the gist........
Serving others can look very different depending on who you ask.
For example:
- Volunteering at a local charity
- Coaching business leaders
- Being a present father
- Solving a problem
All are different environments but with a common theme of impact.
By serving others we become impactful and much more valuable.
Find opportunities to serve those around you: friends, family, businesses, colleagues, or communities.
If you want a fulfilled life, focus on serving others.
