The Permission Era Is Over

I heard something absolutely unbelievable this week.

Honestly, I thought it was a prank.

Turns out the number one song on the gospel Billboard digital sales chart was a fully Artificial Intelligence (AI) generated song and artist.

As you can imagine, social media was in a frenzy.

So many people expressed their concerns, and while they are valid, something else stood out to me.

Someone used AI to produce music so good it could top charts🤯.

Do you know the level of quality, musicality, and artistry it takes to produce a song that can break into the top 100, let alone the #1 spot?

Adding to all of that are the industry gatekeepers who will only favour specific artists and music that they approve.

It’s now clear as day. The days of needing permission/backing from gatekeepers are slowly coming to an end.

I don’t entirely agree with how AI is used in this case, but it’s a great reminder that AI has leveled the playing field.

Anyone! And I mean, anyone can now do (all or some of) whatever they do at the highest level.

We are in a technological revolution, and we still have to figure out the most responsible way to use AI.

That being said, you no longer need permission to do what you do (or what you want to do).

The time is now, and I hope you seize the day.

Rooting for you always!
