Passion Is Contagious - Use It

One of the most impactful periods of my life was high school.

My parents had moved us to a new high school, and I wasn’t too excited about the idea. I was leaving friends and a familiar environment I had grown to love.

But then it hit me. I could reinvent myself at this new school and approach it like a new adventure. After all, who doesn't love an opportunity to start afresh?

So I decided to go all in on my academics.🤓

Shortly after moving to this new school, I began to discover my love for chemistry.

Strangely enough, it had less to do with the subject and more with the newly hired teacher.

A subject that most of us found intimidating and boring had now become the one my class looked forward to.

Whether it was theory being taught in class or experiments in the laboratory, we were hooked.

Much later, I realized this experience was not exclusive to my class. Others across the school had also developed an interest in chemistry.

What are the chances that a teacher who had similar qualifications to the previous one was getting very different results?

The difference, in my opinion, was his level of passion.

You could tell he was passionate about all things chemistry, and eventually that passion began to spread like a wildfire.

This experience showed me how infectious and effective passion is in getting people to care about anything.

Recently, I heard someone say, “Most people will believe what you say if you say it passionately enough.”

This shows that passion connects you directly to the hearts of others, and once you have their hearts, you'll certainly have their minds.

In the case of my teacher, his passion turned a whole school into raving chemistry fans. But in your case, it might help you get across to your partner or convince someone to join your Saturday basketball games.

Passion is a deep feeling of belief in or excitement about what you are doing or saying.

Don't hide your passion. Let it shine through in all that you do.

It might be the connecting piece between you and the results you are striving for.

If you're not passionate about what you do or say, why should others be?

Rooting for you always!
